Boozhoo,

My name is Kaagigegiizigook, Everlasting Sky-woman and my english name is Rachel Brown. I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba but my roots are in Manitou Rapids, Treaty Three Territory. I’m a jingle dress dancer as well as a Sundancer and do my best to live a traditional lifestyle and pass along the knowledge I’ve learned to the next generation.

I have three blessings who call me "mom", Kieran, Keeli and Kenzie. I recently went back to University to obtain my degree in Aboriginal Governance at the University of Winnipeg, before that I spent over 13 years in the Child Welfare field. I look forward to working with the community and its members and want to say Chi- Miigwetch for the opportunity to be part of the Trust as a Community Fund Trustee.
